Ontmaskered (Dutch for unmasked) is a collaborative mixed-media mystery zine about a man named Raj who tries to make sense of why his ex-wife seems to have disappeared without a trace. The zine is made to look like a case file and tells the story from the main character's perspective.
For this project I created a 10 page comic, detailing most of the story of the zine. I also made a page explaining the symbolism behind the masks that the characters wear in the story. This illustration set the tone and art direction of the project in the beginning of production. A majority of the character and prop design was done by me as well.
